Kids are back at school and everyone is back to work. Great to see the BIg O back on the air at the Rockin’ 850…the station that plays the sports hits. As always, O waltzed in with a smile on his face and a lot of cash in his wallet.
Hey, the the guy has earned it. Will Glenn end up on television? Who knows? But, you can see him the next four Monday nights at 10pm on the Late Editon of Mohegan Sun Sports Tonight.
Felger’s kryptonite is Boston College. Felgy - a BU grad - is like the pre-world series Red Sox fan feeling inferior to the Yankees. Obviously his hatred from the Eagle is a sign of insecurity.
We are thinking of new things to add to the show in 2009. Any ideas?
Does anybody miss Gresh? I do.
The Celtics will be fine…unless they lose to Charlotte….no no….even if they lose to Charlotte. But…they won’t.
With the Patriot season over we had three camera people in our studio. During the Patriot season Jeff Garcia holds down the fort by himself. Moose and Barry Alley were back in the house tonight getting in the way of Jeff. Moose and Barry work their tails off in the field covering the Patriots,Red Sox and Celtics but when they are in studio….well, let’s just say they are entertainment for the rest of us.
Barry never lets you know what he is thinking and then he will say one thing all night and it will be extremely funny. He does a great impression of my T.V. laugh. You know, the fake one I have when a guest says something that isn’t really that funny but I laugh anyway.
If this was a sit-com and many ways it is…Moose would be the guy always walking around saying funny stuff and then have you wondering what exactly does he do?

Gresh is the man. Where is he?
It’s been harder for me to enjoy the holday season this year with the Celtics play of late. Although I think that ref that Tommy kept screaming about every 3 minutes was leaning a bit in the Rockets favor. Maybe I just have those green sunglasses on though (much like Tommy).
@Andy - Gresh accepted a new job working for Sirius NFL Radio down in nyc.
I’m definitely going to miss Gresh - he knew his stuff, never took himself too seriously, and his segment breaking down the Patriots plays was something I looked forward to each week. It’s going to be tough, but hopefully you can fill the slot with someone just as good.
I wish I could offer some insight for new segments for 2009, but all I can suggest is more in-depth x’s and o’s for the Celtics and Bruins (similar to Gresh’s former segment on the Patriots). Personally I just watch for the detailed analysis and stats that you don’t get on other programs, so no need for any fancy (or contrived) segments. Change is good, but the show is far superior to the national sports analysis shows, so don’t change too much
I love the behind the scenes insight from the blog, keep it coming!
More Felger on sports tonight! I liked seeing the TGIF segment a few weeks ago. Definitely the best 10:00 show in New England (much better than sportsdesk) One thing is to maybe get more ex-players on as regular contributors (like troy brown). Keep up the good work!
