Danny Ainge on draft night is like a box of chocolates, and history tells us that his professions that nothing is imminent, is more likely a spy hunter smoke screen.  Maybe he will stand pat, but the odds are against it and for the 4th consecutive year Celtics Stuff Live will broadcast during the main event.  The show starts just about the time of the first pick, 7:30pm, and will run until at least 10:30pm depending on how the evening goes.

We have all the familiar names checking in throughout the night including Sean Grande, Steve Bulpett, Marc Spears, Scott Souza, Jessica Camerato, Eric Weiss of BBIQ (who always provides excellent in-depth scouting analysis), and Greg Dickerson who will provide regular updates from the Celtics’ Draft Headquarters.

Of course, amongst all these excellent guests, we will be taking your calls/e-mails/questions from the chat room. See you Thursday night!

Marc Spears joined Justin and Jon for a Memorial Day weekend show to recap the season and look ahead to the offseason.  Justin and Jon pushed the Ray Allen discussion as a possible means to creating cap flexibility and building depth, but Marc squashed that line of thinking and was pretty confident nothing would happen this summer.

Financial considerations being paramount in this recession and central to the discussion around offseason maneuverings, Marc felt that Bill Walker was a likely and able candidate to fill a major need; a back-up for Paul Pierce.  This spawned Jon and Justin’s one standing gripe regarding Docv River’s coaching, an unwillingness to play rookies, both during the interview and afterwards.

Finally, Tom Thuibodeau is making the head coaching interview tour and Marc was not so sure that Tom would secure employment outside of Boston for next season.  With many capable coaches vying for few opportunities, Marc puts Eddie Jordan at the top of that list and the CSL guys were in agreement.

While the tail end of Marc’s interview devolved into a discussion of his being a renaissance man, apple picking in Maine, and the potential public access documentary starring the esteemed Globe writer and a Maine lobster, die-hard listeners will certainly enjoy this show.

The Celtics roll to their 9th straight victory with a solid effort from the bench, particularly Eddie House who set a career high with 8 three pointers made.  Eddie "Money" has certainly had a hot hand lately, as just a few days ago he tied his career best by knocking down 7 shots from beyond the arc.  Tony Allen returned from his ankle injury to play 23+ minutes and contributing 10 points (on 5-5 shooting) and 8 rebounds.  Glen Davis also extended his hot streak going 5-6 from the field for 14 points.  Justin Poulin is joined by Eric Weiss from the BBIQ for the podcap.

Playing the second game of a back-to-back on the road in Florida, the Celtics extend their win streak to 7 games with a 90-80 win over the Orlando Magic.  The fourth quarter was all Glen Davis who had 12 points in the frame and helped frustrate Dwight Howard into fouling out with 2:30 remaining in the game.  The Celtics are back to their defensive ways in getting wins and how else could you explain a 10-point win while going 0-6 from beyond the arc?  Kevin Henkin joins Justin Poulin for the podcap.

The Celtics get the first of a two game set in Florida and topple the Miami Heat 98-83.  Eddie House had a career night, but the Celtics may have missed an opportunity to keep the starters minutes reduced.  Ray Allen was also unconscious from beyond the arc, hitting on three straight late in the fourth quarter, and pouring water on the Heat’s attempt to climb back in the game and steal a victory.  Jack Jemsek joins Justin Poulin for another postgame podcap.

Bill Walker joins Justin Poulin and Eric Weiss for another in a series of regular interviews with the Celtics rookie.   This interview comes on the heals of "Sky" Walker’s first minutes as a professional and we get his thoughts on his play over the last three games.  Bill shares his thoughts on the Celtics return to their winning ways and how he hopes to make his mark on the team and continue to see playing time.  He also provides some insight on what he is learning from Paul Pierce, who has begun to share the tricks of the trade with Bill.

Note: It came to our attention this afternoon that the interview ended five minutes early.  That issue has been resolved and you can now download the interview in it’s entirety.

It was quick but not painless for the Suns who are embarking on a 6-game east coast swing, with Boston being their second stop.  Boston had a 15 point lead after 12 minutes, which grew to 30 points at the half.  Phoenix rolled over, and as we’ve seen through Green tinted glasses, road trips across the continent are not kind to even the class of NBA teams.  Bill Walker got some attention from the TNT broadcast crew with his play at the end of the game, which included a nasty reverse dunk after driving baseline that sent Josh Boone and Louis Amundson to the floor like bowling pins.  Thomas Halzack joins Justin Poulin for the podcap.
